FAQs

Do I need to buy year-round insurance for my motorcycle, skidoo or sea-doo?

Most recreational insurance policies are priced based on the understanding that recreational vehicles are seasonal. If you have a loan on your recreational vehicle, your lender will usually require insurance to remain in place year-round. Talk to your broker about keeping comprehensive coverage in place while your toy is not in use. This will keep you covered in case of theft of damage while your vehicle is in storage.

Do I need insurance if I don’t drive on public roadways?

Even if you’re just driving on your own private property, insurance offers protection you don’t want to overlook. Insurance protects you in the event you injure a third-party or damage someone else’s property be that public or private. It can also cover the cost of repairing damage to your vehicle or replacing it if stolen.

Is my trailer covered?

Not necessarily. It’s best to call your Archway broker to ensure your trailer is officially added to your insurance policy.

Do I need to insure my travel trailer?

Yes! In some cases, liability coverage for damage you do to other people and their property will extend from your auto policy while your travel trailer is being towed. However, this is not always the case and there is no coverage for damage to your travel trailer. You need a separate insurance policy to cover the cost of repairing your travel trailer. You’ll also need a policy that provides liability regardless of whether your trailer is in motion or parked.
